We are pleased
to forward the Annual Report of the Waterfront Commission
of New York Harbor for its fiscal year 2001-2002. Contained
herein are representative activities of the Commission, together
with pertinent observations concerning its administration
and enforcement of the Waterfront Commission Compact between
the states of New York and New Jersey. The Commission has
continued to perform its designated responsibilities under
the Compact, with particular concern for the improvement
of the overall economy and well-being of the bi-state Port.
